Dentures & Partial Dentures
When it comes to dentures and partial dentures, we collaborate closely with local denturists to ensure you receive a high-quality product. Sometimes, patients come to us, and we need to remove their teeth to prepare them for dentures. Other times, we may need to place small rests in your teeth before fitting a partial denture.
One important recommendation I have is that if you're planning to have a partial denture made, it's advisable to have your teeth cleaned before the partial is constructed. If you don't, your gums may be swollen due to gingivitis, and after a cleaning, your gums can shrink (in a positive way) because they were inflamed from bad bacteria. If your partial was made before this, it may no longer fit perfectly. This highlights the importance of our close collaboration with denturists to ensure the best fit for your dentures or partial dentures.
